The Long Eaton School is seeking a self-motivated and passionate candidate who can fulfil the role of SENDCo. This post is a full time, temporary linked to Maternity Leave.  


The Long Eaton School is proud of its inclusive approach to education. We have a large SEND department which includes our Learning Support Team and our Enhance Resource Centre. The SENDCo oversees the Enhanced Resource Centre Lead and the teaching assistant team, and is supported by a dedicated SEND Administrator. The SEND department has two central bases, the Positive Outcomes Department (POD) and the Enhanced Resource Centre (ERC) as well as supporting students within the classroom throughout the school. 


The main responsibilities of the post holder will be strategic leadership for SEND, including effective operation of focus provision and ensuring excellent provision to support students with SEND, enabling good progress to be made.


The role will be based at The Long Eaton School but the post holder may at any time be required to support or work at any of the sites within Archway Learning Trust.

The Long Eaton School is a very successful secondary school with a popular Sixth Form. We are a Specialist Academy for Science and Applied Learning.
