We seek to appoint a first-rate teacher of Spanish and French.
This position would suit an NQT and is also available to talented and ambitious candidates who wish to undertake training and complete a teaching qualification whilst working. Most teachers in the Modern Languages faculty teach more than one language; for this role we seek candidates who are able to teach Spanish and French from 13-18.
You will be based within a purpose-built Language Centre, which was opened in 2003 and houses 11 large classrooms, four assistants’ rooms, a Sanako language laboratory, a staff room, a technical hub and two large reception areas.
The Spanish and French departments have long standing study visits; the French Department has a programme of exchange visits and trips, including a well-established exchange with the Maison d’Education de la Légion d’Honneur in St. Denis. The Spanish Department runs a programme of study visits and trips to Barcelona, Madrid and Andorra. Both departments organise frequent extracurricular activities such as society evenings and events.
