We are looking to appoint a qualified speech and language therapist to provide the onsite SALT service for our pupils. The ideal candidate will have an experience of working in a specialist school/setting for children and young adults who have very complex needs including PMLD, SLD and Autism, along with NHS Band 6 SALT experience. We welcome applications from those who are looking for flexible working opportunities as well as full-time therapists.
The Redbridge Integrated Care Board and Local Authority are jointly transforming therapy support for children and young people in Special Schools. The successful candidate will join the Astrum Multi Academy Trust therapy hub and work across all three school sites. This newly established service will be supervised by a Lead Specialist Speech and Language therapist and includes joint working with other therapists – SALT and OT as well as support from therapy assistants who focus on ensuring every pupil has an individual AAC programme and equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to develop specialist clinical skills, and embed yourself in the school community to support our children and young people in achieving the best functional outcomes.
Newbridge School is a three times outstanding, mixed, forward thinking, highly specialised day school for children and young people who have severe and profound learning difficulties with a range of special educational needs including: Physical disabilities/Sensory impairments/Autistic spectrum disorders/associated behaviour/Complex medical needs.
