London East Alternative Provision (LEAP) is a successful, high-achieving all-through alternative provision located in Tower Hamlets.

We are seeking to appoint a talented, committed and highly-motivated individual to the post of Subject Lead/ Teacher for Music at our highly respected inner-city pupil referral unit.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the aims, values and ethos of London East Alternative Provision and a proven track record of delivering excellent outcomes for students with often complex behavioural needs and whose previous experience of schooling has, for whatever reasons, been a challenging one.

We are looking for a dynamic, committed specialist with sound production skills and an in-depth understanding of all aspects of the GCSE Music curriculum. The ideal candidate will have a proven academic knowledge of Music and a wide range of practical skills in Music, including keyboard and guitar. 

In addition to a proven track record in supporting the most vulnerable and challenging students, we are looking for someone who is confident in the use of the Logic sound production system. Our students love making music and need a teacher who can facilitate their progress and support them with their complex behaviour and learning needs. Our Music Department is well-resourced and includes a purpose-built recording studio. 

If appointed, you will be joining a team committed to continuing the rapid pace of improvement as we move towards being an outstanding provision.
