Teacher of Additional Educational Needs

We are inviting an enthusiastic and skilled Additional Educational Needs teacher to become a part of our pioneering team. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to develop and provide outstanding educational experiences for young children , implementing a progressive curriculum that balances the high standards of UK education with the local context of Jakarta.

Key Responsibilities:

•Be an advocate for inclusive practice within the community

•Supporting the social, emotional, educational and linguistic needs of children in the school

•Collaborate with and serve on interdisciplinary teams

•Organise review meetings for parents to discuss progress of individual children  

•Ensure school-wide protocol, legal, ethical and organisational requirements for referral processes, data analysis and student records are implemented and adhered to

•Lead relevant training/workshops for staff and parents

•Regularly assess student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs

•Engage with parents and guardians, providing insights into their child’s attainment and achievement

•Participate in ongoing professional development related to the support and advocacy of children with additional educational needs

• Contribute creatively to school-wide events and extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

• Graduate qualified teacher with minimum 5 years experience post qualification
• Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area (Master’s degree an advantage)
• Additional qualification in an area of inclusion, additional educational needs practice, or English as an additional language (preferred)
