Teacher of Art

The Hawthorns School is a thriving prep day school for children between the ages of 2 and 13.  Located on an idyllic 35-acre estate in Bletchingley, Surrey, our mission is to prepare each child for life and to inspire a love of learning.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher to teach Art from Year 3 to Year 8, and to support staff in lower years with their teaching of Art.  The successful candidate will be a talented and ambitious teacher, with a passion for their subject and a creative and energetic approach to ensure all pupils are engaged.  An ability to teach (or experience with) photography and ceramics is desirable but not essential.  Candidates will inspire high standards in the classroom, have a warm approach, show initiative and be prepared to play a full part in School life, including involvement in co-curricular activities.
