We are looking to appoint an outstanding teacher of Computer Studies. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom teacher with a track record of supporting students to make excellent progress.

At Malbank, all KS3 students study ICT for 2 periods across a 2-week timetable to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, allowing students to successfully opt to continue to study a Computer Studies course at KS4. KS3 students also develop a clear understanding of how to keep them self-safe whilst using technology and to use technology across the curriculum. At KS4 we offer GCSE Computer Science and the BTEC in Digital Information Technology. We also offer A-Level Computer Science, the ability to teach this would be an advantage.

The ICT team is made up of the Head of department, a full-time teacher and a part-time teacher of the subject. We also have a dedicated team of support staff including our ICT systems development manager, senior systems analyst and our software development and installations technician. We have 6 dedicated ICT suites across the school site.

We are looking for a candidate who is:
