The successful applicant will be a hardworking and enthusiastic professional with excellent subject knowledge.
In addition to the duties of a Main Scale Teacher of Dance and Physical Education, the postholder will:
- attend appropriate professional courses to support both curriculum delivery and the assessment of the students at GCSE and ‘A’ Level;
- provide guidance for colleagues in the teaching of GCSE and ‘A’ Level Dance;
- identify students at Key Stage 3 whose ability and aptitude might lead them to study Dance at GCSE;
- monitor the work of GCSE and ‘A’ Level Dance students;
- identify students at Key Stage 4, whose ability and aptitude might lead them to study Dance at ‘A’ Level;
- develop Schemes of Work for GCSE and ‘A’ Level, based on the examination specifications selected for the School.
