We wish to appoint a Design & Technology /STEM Teacher who demonstrates an enthusiastic and dynamic approach to teaching exciting and creative lessons. This post offers you an excellent opportunity to join an inspiring and innovative department. You will play an integral role in the continued progression and development across this key department within the school.

It is essential for candidates to be able to teach Design Technology at KS3, KS4 and KS5. It would be advantageous if you have the ability to teach Computer Science at KS3 and the ability to teach any of the other following specialisms: Engineering, Textiles, Hospitality & Catering, Product Design, Graphics, Computer Science, Creative iMedia, Construction.

We are looking for an individual able to fulfil a team role that will complement the dynamism and originality of thought present in our established team. This post would suit both an ECT at the beginning of their teaching journey or an established teacher ready to take on new opportunities, and as your professional development is important to us, we offer a comprehensive package of CPD opportunities, including nationally recognised qualifications that suit all types of career progression. These are widely available, free of charge through the ALI (the Aspirations Learning Institute) at all of the Aspirations Academy schools. In addition, Budmouth has its very own Well-being Charter and working group, as we genuinely prioritise the well-being of our staff. Our current team offers a range of extra-curricular support sessions and activities to ensure students reach their full potential, and if successful, we would hope that you would share this ethic. We would require you to work closely with the Subject Coordinator in the development of new units of work, to incorporate key skills within making. You will also be responsible for teaching students the knowledge that will ensure their success in final examinations.

Budmouth Academy has a highly successful 6 th Form and you may have the opportunity to teach post-16 at A Level in Design and Technology and across a range of other subject specialisms.
