Teacher of Design Technology (Textiles) and Food Preparation & Nutrition

Required from April 2018, or possibly September 2018, a well-qualified and enthusiastic Design Technology teacher. The successful candidate will join a well-established, supportive and successful department. S/he will be passionate about Design Technology and able to communicate enthusiasm and confidence to our pupils. They will be focused on the attainment of all pupils, have proven success at teaching across all abilities (although applications from NQT’s would be considered) and hold qualified teacher status (QTS). In addition, the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate outstanding classroom practice. 

As well as teaching Food and Textiles the ability to teach DT across all its disciplines at KS3 would be an advantage but not necessary.

The department achieves impressive results and high levels of pupil progress at GCSE and A level. The timetable is likely to involve KS3, KS4 and KS5.

QEGS is a high achieving, oversubscribed 11-18 comprehensive school and converter academy. The school is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children.
