Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Delivering lessons that challenge students to think deeply and engage meaningfully with a broad range of language and literature in KS3 and KS4.

Utilise evidence-based pedagogical approaches to foster critical thinking, analytical skills, and a love for learning within students.

Collaborate with a supportive department to develop teaching strategies and resources.

Contribute to the planning and implementation of a well-resourced and carefully sequenced curriculum that meets the needs of all students.

Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential in English language and literature.

Woodlands Community College is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Southampton, Hampshire. It is a community state school within the Southampton Education Authority.  A secondary school with places for 900 students between the ages of 11-16, currently oversubscribed with 905 students currently on roll.

The school was opened by then-minister for schools David Miliband in 2003.
