Teacher of French

Millthorpe School is looking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic linguist to teach French throughout KS3 and KS4. We are looking for a highly motivated colleague, with a proven record or the promise of outstanding practice, who can teach across age ranges and abilities in order to enable our students to be the best that they can be. You will be committed to ensuring the highest standards for our young people to support their future learning and adult life.

Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) is part of our Global Communications Faculty, which also includes Business Studies and Computing. The faculty consists of five experienced teachers (four part time, one full time) teaching either MFL or Computing, and includes a Subject Leader for Computing.

Currently, all students study French or German in KS3 and the more able students (around 50-60% of the cohort) are expected to study French or German GCSE. The ability to teach German at KS3 or above would therefore be an advantage.
