Required September 2024

·        Do young people inspire you and do you have a passion for teaching and learning, as learning languages has the potential to transform young peoples’ lives.

·        Would you like to join an enthusiastic and collegiate team to unlock our students potential?

·        Can you inspire students through your excellent language skills and knowledge of other countries?

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated linguist, who has the skills and drive to inspire students and to collaborate effectively with colleagues to raise standards even further. The post would suit an experienced teacher or an ECT.

The successful candidate will join a team which prioritises collaborative working, with an opportunity to influence, steer and support development within the department. You will also develop your own career path with regular, high quality, CPD opportunities delivered by colleagues who possess expertise in every area of the curriculum.

Why chose our school:

·        Influencing practice and sharing ideas with likeminded professionals.

·        An established and well-resourced Modern Languages department.

·        We offer excellent opportunities for high quality professional development and support.

·        We have a strong commitment to staff well-being with a genuinely friendly body of staff who support and care for each other.

·        Excellent transport links with the M1, A1 and M25 close by.

What we are looking for:

·        We are looking for an innovative teacher who embraces and develops new ideas, and then pursues them to completion.

·        You should have a strong record of working collaboratively within a department and you are able to respond nimbly to challenges which arise.

·        You uphold high expectations of students daily and model this to colleagues in the department.

·        You can skilfully develop effective student-teacher relationships.

Further details can be obtained from Shurle Woodhouse at woodhouses@kls.herts.sch.uk. We reserve the right to interview as applications are received. Please note we reserve the right to interview prior to the closing date.
