We have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Physics specialist to join our school as a Teacher of Physics. The large and successful science Department have a real passion for their subject; They aim to pass on enthusiasm for sciences to the students through active engagement in lessons. They are fully committed to learning outside the classroom through field trips and enrichment days.  Candidates will need to share the love of teaching sciences to bright and capable students. Applications from ECT's will be considered.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be a successful Teacher of Physics across KS3 and 4.
  • Inspire curiosity and passion for Physics, whilst delivering a knowledge rich curriculum
  • Experience of planning of lessons / schemes of work in line with the demands of an examination syllabus.
  • Be driven and passionate about securing positive outcomes for students

About Wallington High School for Girls

Wallington High School for Girls is a secondary grammar school with a sixth form located in Sutton, Greater London. Since September 2015, Wallington High School for Girls has been part of the Nonsuch and Wallington Education Trust.

Wallington High School for Girls has established transport links and is accessible via the nearby Wallington rail station. The school is twinned with Wallington County Grammar School for Boys, located 1.5 miles away. Wallington High was founded in 1888. A time capsule was buried in the grounds in a 125th anniversary celebration in 2013.
