As a Teacher of Religious Studies, you will have the opportunity to engage and motivate students in the exploration of religious and philosophical concepts. We are looking for someone who can deliver high-quality lessons that stimulate curiosity and critical thinking, while also fostering a respectful and inclusive learning environment. Additionally, you will be involved in organising and participating in assemblies and events that celebrate cultural and religious diversity within our school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to explore religious and philosophical ideas, while promoting respect for different beliefs and traditions.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of Ethics at KS4.
  • Organise and participate in assemblies and events that celebrate cultural and religious diversity, fostering a sense of inclusivity and understanding among students.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development both academically and personally.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the academy through participation in extracurricular activities and school events that promote cultural awareness and understanding.


Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Religious Studies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to promote cultural and religious understanding among students.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Commitment to the academy's values and ethos, including promoting inclusivity and celebrating diversity.
