The Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a Careers Advisor to work across its three secondary schools within and around Chester - Christleton High School, Chester International School and Queen’s Park High School. This exciting post will primarily focus on managing the careers provision across the schools including supporting the coordination of work experience opportunities for KS4 and 5 students.

The Learning Trust is looking to work collaboratively with the post-holder to ensure that our schools build a strong network of links with local employers to facilitate pertinent careers advice and work experience opportunities. Time will be split across the three schools with the post-holder working closely with the Careers Leads in each school.

The post-holder will need to be flexible and dynamic in co-ordinating information from a range of local and regional stakeholders as our schools look to enhance their engagement with the local labour market. Whilst our schools operate their provision slightly differently, core responsibilities will include:

 ·        The provision of Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to KS4 and 5 students, working with school staff and outside agencies as appropriate

·        Supporting the delivery of the schools’ work experience programmes and work related learning opportunities

·        Liaison with subject staff to support the delivery of the Gatsby Benchmarks
