Assistant Head of Boarding and Weekends

This is a superb opportunity for an experienced and dynamic pastoral assistant to help drive, manage, and deliver excellence in boarding at Windlesham. The school currently has a strong boarding community of c.120 pupils, from Years 3 - 8. They are a mixture of UK and international boarders from diverse backgrounds, bringing an important and highly valued globalism to our wider school community of around 330 pupils in total.

The successful candidate will show the ability to assist the heads of boarding to help evolve, market, and deliver an ambitious, dynamic, and progressive vision for the future of boarding at Windlesham which has boarding development and expansion as a core aspect of its strategic planning.

Operating within parameters set by the Headmaster, Deputy Head (Pastoral) and Heads of Boys’ and Girls’ Boarding, the Assistant Head of Boarding and Weekends will share responsibility for the boarding houses and have responsibility for the coordination of the weekend provision which will be planned in conjunction with the Weekend Activities Coordinator. They will ensure that regulatory compliance is met at all times, and that there is an ongoing desire for the implementation of best practice. The post holder will be required to help support with the effective management of staffing, organisation and resourcing of the boarding houses and to ensure provision for the safety, wellbeing, and positive personal development of the pupils.
