We are currently searching for an experienced Biology Teacher to join our school in Teignmouth, Devon.

About the Position

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday plus occasional evening and weekend school events.

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Start Date: September 2024

About you

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in biology or a relevant field
  • Is fully versed in teaching GCSE and A Level Biology
  • Can demonstrate evidence of high pupil achievement from your teaching
  • Possesses excellent interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Trinity School is an independent, co-educational, all-through school for children aged 3-19 years old. It is situated in Teignmouth, Devon, and has approximately 490 day and boarding pupils. Bursaries and scholarships are available.

Trinity School was founded in 1979. It is a Christian school built on joint Anglican and Roman Catholic foundations. Pupils of all faiths and none are welcome in the school, which follows a Christian ethos in all aspects of school life.

Informed by the school’s ecumenical traditions, its ethos creates a community where pupil are welcomed as individuals with unique abilities and talents and are enabled to make good progress overall. The curriculum is good, enabling pupils to develop their basic skills in literacy, numeracy, scientific exploration and the creative arts as they progress from the EYFS to the sixth form. Pupils are confident and articulate, use information and communication technology (ICT) completely, work independently and cooperatively, and make good progress according to their ability. Lessons are well prepared and teachers use their subject knowledge well to encourage and support their pupils.”
