St Augustine’s School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and passionate class teacher. You will be:

  • hardworking and always prioritise the children's interests and progress, enabling our pupils to be well rounded individuals ready for the next stage of their learning. (Ofsted 2021)
  • The successful candidate will be supported fully in their career and professional development. As Ofsted noted staff are ‘happy at St Augustine’s, leaders are mindful of their workload, only initiating new initiatives if they are beneficial to pupils’ learning.’

St. Augustine's Catholic Primary School has a strong Catholic ethos with supportive families, a tradition of strong academic outcomes and a strong regard for good behaviour.

HOW TO APPLY:

Applications should be sent via email to hrteam@sjscat.co.uk. Teacher Application Form and supplementary forms are available here on our website (St John Southworth Catholic Academy Trust - Vacancies (sjscat.co.uk)). The deadline for applications to be received is Friday 10th May. Interviews week beginning Monday 20th May.

As we often have many applicants for jobs at the School, we regret that we will only be able to contact those applicants who are short-listed for interview. Therefore if you have not heard from us within 2 weeks of the closing date, then please assume you have not been short-listed for interview on this particular occasion.

Short-listed candidates will be called for interview upon receipt of application and we may therefore appoint before the published closing date. We advise you to submit your application as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

All applicants will be contacted by email to the address supplied in your application. Applicants are advised to check their email accounts regularly and to ensure that email filters are set to allow our emails.

The Saint John Southworth Catholic Multi Academy Trust was established in September 2021 by its founding members, the Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School and St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Cadogan Street. Our mission is to create a community of schools, built in solidarity and operating by subsidiarity, to give our pupils all they need to grow.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All post holders are subject to appropriate vetting procedures and a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced check.
