Barton Peveril is a vibrant and innovative sixth form college and we are recruiting for a Clerk to the Corporation.

You will be the professional officer of the Corporation and ensure that business is conducted efficiently and in accordance with the legal and constitutional framework that applies to the College. You will provide an advisory and administrative service to the Corporation and its Committees. There are currently 14 governors who work with our senior leadership team, staff, students, auditors and inspectors to ensure that students of all ages are offered the best possible experiences during their time at college and that the needs of the local community are met.

The role is 15 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks). There are 15 meetings of the Corporation and its Committees in a year, which are held in the early evening. The remainder of your working hours can be arranged with some flexibility to suit you: for instance, 2 full days per week or 3 days of 5 hours per week.

Barton Peveril Sixth Form College situated in Eastleigh, Hampshire is one of the largest (over 4,700 students in 2022) and most successful sixth form colleges in the country.
