We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and dedicated teacher PE to be our next Curriculum Leader and to join our great PE Department which has well-qualified and supportive PE staff. Our school has a combination of fantastic facilities, passionate students, and enthusiastic staff, all committed to both competitive fixtures and the participation of everyone during a varied curriculum. We offer the OCR Cambridge National in Sport Studies at KS4 and BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Sport at KS5.

Our PE department is centred around a Sports Hall consisting of 4 badminton courts, full size basketball court, full size netball court, indoor football and 4 cricket nets. The Sports Hall height is also sufficient to accommodate both our competition standard trampolines. There are other indoor facilities such as our dance studio and a fully equipped, air conditioned gym. Our extensive grounds also contain a hard-court area with 2 netball courts, a basketball court and an outdoor gym. In addition we have exclusive access to the Power League 3-G pitches which are used by students during lessons, break times, and for extra-curricular activities.

This vacancy would suit an experienced teacher that has outstanding leadership and organisational attributes, preferably with some prior leadership experience in your current post and commitment to extra curricular activities and sports with an emphasis on netball, gymnastics and dance. A minibus driving qualification (D1 licence) or willingness to undertake the training to achieve this would be an advantage.

Slough and Eton is a great school on the outskirts of Slough, which serves the Chalvey community. We are relentlessly focused on ensuring great teaching, learning and experiences are at the core of what we do. It is an exciting time for us and our students are a pleasure to work with.

About Slough and Eton CE Business and Enterprise College

Slough and Eton is a great school and I am immensely proud to have joined it as Headteacher in September 2017.  Pupils and students at Slough and Eton are expected to work extremely hard and are encouraged to achieve their very best in all that they do.  As a result of their tremendous work ethic they achieve extremely well and we are very proud of them.  We believe in educating the whole child and as such place great importance on the many cultural experiences we provide for pupils and students as well as the academic ones.

As a Church of England school we welcome pupils from all faiths, foster a culture of tolerance and understanding throughout the school and are always delighted to show visitors the fantastic things that happen here.  We have a thriving and growing Sixth Form and enjoy using excellent facilities.  If you are interested in finding out more about our school then please do come and visit us.  I would be delighted to show you around, along with some pupils and give you the opportunity to talk informally with some staff about what it is like to work at the school.

Mr Peter Collins
