Job overview

We are seeking an inspirational, motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Leader in English to join our successful team. You will be committed to providing guidance, support and care for all pupils ensuring that they feel safe, are effectively engaged in their learning and achieve well.

This is a particularly exciting time to be part of our team at Longcroft School and Sixth Form. Last year we secured the best results in the school’s history across the curriculum, and have been recognised as one of the most improved schools in the country by the Department for Education. Colleagues describe a strong collegiate atmosphere with great support, and we currently work closely with the Wonder Learning Partnership (WLP) which is creating a wide range of opportunities including a highly regarded professional development programme.

Situated in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of the popular market town of Beverley, Longcroft offers motivated and well-behaved students, dedicated staff, a committed and experienced governing body and supportive parents.

As an 11-19 school with a rapidly growing sixth form and lower school, there are potential opportunities to teach across the age and ability range. Our values of Great Heart, Thought and Vision, underpin all that we are and do, and we are committed to a holistic and enriched education that develops the whole child. Every member of our community is uniquely valued and is recognised for the important part they have to play.

Longcroft is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointment will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
