Post: Curriculum Leader of Modern Foreign Languages

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Required for September 2024, we are seeking to appoint an innovative teacher to lead our Modern Foreign Languages Department. Our main language is Spanish. You will be an exceptional practitioner, who sets high expectations for your team. You will have ambition, drive and energy and want the very best standards and outcomes for our St Michael's students. The successful candidate will join a team of highly committed staff and will be able to teach across the ability and age range, including post 16.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Can create a clear strategy to enhance and develop the department in achieving academic excellence
  • Can plan and deliver a range of challenging and outstanding lessons, to inspire students and develop their love for the subject
  • Encourage students, to achieve to the best of their ability
  • Can inspire, motivate, challenge and support all students to achieve and excel
  • Have the highest expectations of themselves and others; being open to new ideas and challenge
  • Will be generous with their knowledge and time and enjoy sharing resources and expertise
