The Governing Body is looking to appoint an outstanding deputy headteacher to work alongside the headteacher and SLT as the school continues its improvement journey. Alder Community High School is an oversubscribed, 11-16, mixed comprehensive school and is situated in Gee Cross, Hyde, close to the borders with Stockport and the Peak District. We offer excellent facilities, a friendly and supportive environment for both students and staff.

You will be joining a highly committed team of staff who are passionate about raising standards across the school and are determined to improve outcomes for all students. This vacancy comes during an exciting time of transition at the school and will be central to Alder realising its vision to become ‘outstanding in all we do’. The specific remit of this role will be dependent upon the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
We work collaboratively with a variety of schools within the Greater Manchester area and have active subject networks working together to drive up standards across Tameside.
