The role

This is a newly created hands on role at Oxford High School where you will play a key part in the development and implementation of our new digital strategy, working alongside the Director of Marketing, Admissions and Communications.

Your remit will cover a wide variety of digital marketing and communications functions, from promoting the positioning and reputation of the school, to showcasing our pupils’ successes and engaging new and existing audiences.

With an eye for a good story, you will create content for a range of audiences to support our objectives and key messaging, via the school website, and social media channels, ensuring these are kept up to date, relevant, and always providing an excellent user experience. You will also act as product owner for the school website and other digital channels.

The role is school based during term time, with some possible flexibility for remote working during holidays.

About you

As an integral part of the Marketing, Admissions and Communications team you will enjoy working as part of a team but will be comfortable working independently and taking initiative to identify solutions and improvements.

You will have proven experience of leading, planning and implementing impactful digital marketing campaigns and developing engaging content, in addition to being comfortable evaluating and assessing the impact of digital activity, using analytics and measurement tools, (i.e. Google analytics 4, Hootsuite, media monitoring tools etc.).

Demonstrable experience of managing digital agencies such as paid social media, PPC advertising, SEO, or content marketing and setting measurable goals to extend reach, increase engagement and enhance reputation..

Excellent editorial and copywriting skills and a proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative, organise, prioritise and actively structure projects will round out your profile.

About Oxford High School for Girls GDST

Oxford High School is an independent, non-denominational, all-through school for girls without nursery and with sixth form, situated in three sites in Summertown, North Oxford. It is one of 26 members of the GDST (Girls’ Day School Trust), meaning it is governed by the council and operates according to the trust’s policy. The school provides 906 places for primary, secondary and sixth-form students aged 4-19.

Oxford High School was founded in 1875 and is the oldest girls' school in the city.
