The opportunity

The EAL Department is integrated facility for children who have English as an additional language. As the Coordinator, you will lead, develop and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum, which enables the highest level of student progress and attainment. You will promote outstanding teaching and learning and a strong school culture within a nurturing and rigorous environment. This fulltime teaching position requires a person of high calibre and with experience in addressing the needs of children who require support with English as an additional language and who require support adapting to a new culture.

Ark Evelyn Grace Academy is an 11-16 mixed secondary school, located at the heart of the London Borough of Lambeth. We are a community school and part of the Ark Network.  Our mission statement is to empower our students to be the voice of their future.  This is based on the belief that each young person is different, difference should be embraced, and each young person has a unique contribution to make and should be given a voice. School Structure

The school has a small leadership team that comprises of the Principal, two Vice Principals and two Assistant Principals. Each subject area is lead by a Head of Department and year groups are led by a Director of Learning (Head of Year).
