Job description:

You will be responsible for all Compliance matters at The Gower School’s three Islington sites – two Nursery sites at North Road, and one Primary site at Cynthia Street. These matters will include Health and Safety, Fire, Accidents, Medicines, Risk Assessments, Building Maintenance and Operations.

In addition, you will manage the Holiday Fun Club provision that we offer to children during school holiday periods. You will be responsible for taking bookings, organising rotas, performing risk assessments, and booking activities.

Additional duties include:

• Assisting the Principal or school leaders with administrative tasks whenever requested

• Telephone and email correspondence

• Meeting and greeting parents, visitors and children

• Data entry

Working hours:

Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week – the school is open from 8am to 6pm, 48 weeks of the year and staff work within a shift system. This is a permanent position.

Person specification:

Our ideal candidate will be organised and flexible, and will have excellent administration, communication and writing skills. Experience in property management – as well as Health, Safety and Fire Compliance – is highly desirable. You may have experience of organising clubs or activities, or working in an educational setting.

You will have great attention to detail and the ability to work well in a team. Working within busy and dynamic educational settings, you will be able to interact with parents, pupils and visitors in a polite and helpful manner. You will be educated to A Level, with GCSE passes in English and Maths (essential) or hold a degree (highly desirable).
