We are a 3-16 all age fully inclusive Academy.  Main Duties:

To help increase the use of the early help assessment as the tool for identifying the needs of our pupils and parents. In doing this you will work alongside our parents and carers to engage them in preventative practice, acting as an advocate for our pupils. As part of this role this the post holder will ensure that all information is reported, recorded and analysed daily within our Child Protection Online Monitoring System, and liaising closely with outside agencies. 

 The post holder will do this by ensuring; 

  • Effective working with parents, staff, and outside agencies to prevent our pupils from being at risk of harm.
  • Good academic outcomes (compared to local and national benchmarks)
  • Good attendance and punctuality for students
  • Development of home school links by forming strong, professional links with families.
  • Effective multiagency working relationships        
  • Effective and accurate record keeping.     
  • Effective analysis of contextual data to inform the DSL and SLT of current safeguarding need.          
  • A clear picture is given on our pupils and their families to give them every opportunity to go on to live life in all it’s fullness.
  • Time frames are met for the EHA and pupils are able to succeed socially and emotionally.           

   

The successful candidate will be someone who:

  • have a passion for seeing young people thrive and achieve their full potential, having high expectations for students’ attainment and personal development;
  • have experience of working with young people and challenging and /or vulnerable families;
  • demonstrate personal integrity and professionalism and role models those personal qualities we wish to instill in our students;
  • have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to form positive and supportive relationships with young people and their parents;
  • have knowledge of safeguarding legislation, statutory and local frameworks relating to safeguarding, child protection and best practice;
  • believe our students deserve the best provision and has the strength of character to advocate on their behalf and challenge appropriately where colleagues are not demonstrating agreed standards;
  • have the ability and willingness to work flexibly to meet the demands of the role;
  • be able to work independently, under pressure and to deadlines;
  • be a great team player, friendly and professional.


The working hours will be:

Mon to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.00 pm with one day (to be agreed) finishing at 3.30 pm
