An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, hardworking and well organised Finance Assistant who is meticulous and has the ability to assist with the smooth running of the school's financial management under the guidance of the School Business Manager. You will join a friendly administration team that works hard together to provide an effective and efficient support service to all stakeholders of the school. 

 The successful candidate will:

 ·     Either have previous experience as a Finance Assistant or similar demanding administrative role.

·     Possess strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise their work load, meet deadlines and remain calm under pressure.

·     Have a good level of administrative and computer skills, including MS Office (Excel and Word).

·     Be highly numerate and literate, have strong attention to detail and accuracy with a good level of education.

·     Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, clearly and accurately, both orally and in writing, with a wide range of people, eg students, staff and parents/carers.

·     Embrace new technologies and ideas that enhance and improve administrative tasks.

·     Be self-motivated, enthusiastic, hardworking and flexible in their attitude with a pro-active approach to problem solving.

·     Be a positive team player, willing to pitch in and help out where needed and believe in the importance of team work and a collaborative approach.

·     Be committed to the principles and practice of safeguarding all young people.

We are looking for someone who can work full time, ie 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per, however, there may be an opportunity for a contract of term time only, plus 3 weeks, for the right candidate.

Loreto St Albans is a Roman Catholic academy for girls aged 11-18.  The sixth form is open to both boys and girls.

The school is located in St Albans, Hertfordshire and has around 1,000 pupils.  The school convverted to academy status in 2012. It was founded in 1922 by the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary.  There are now 119 Loreto schools in 12 countries on 6 continents.
