Horsforth School is seeking to appoint a Food Services Team Member to join our exciting Catering Team (maternity cover up to the end of March/Easter 2025).

This is just not just any school kitchen; we pride ourselves on the food we serve and aim for both restaurant standard food and service.

Working closely with the kitchen staff you will help to deliver our new and exciting food offering, using fresh, seasonal ingredients wherever possible. We pride ourselves on delivering fantastic freshly prepared meals, deli sandwiches, salads, desserts and other products. What’s more, you’ll also help maintain the kitchen and serve high quality food to the students of Horsforth School.

This is an extremely hands-on role and the successful candidate must be hardworking, energetic and reliable and have the ability to deal with issues using their own initiative as they arise.

For our 1500 students, Horsforth School provides an engaging environment of discovery and growth. For our colleagues too, this setting offers some great benefits. Located in north-west Leeds, the school is just five miles from the city centre with its thriving retail, leisure and cultural facilities, yet on the edge of open countryside. York, Harrogate and the Dales are within easy reach.

GCSE and A Level results are consistently well above the national averages and in both 2022 and 2023 the school had the best A Level results in the whole of Leeds. Horsforth School was also named one of the top schools in Yorkshire in The Sunday Times Parent Power Guide in 2022.

If you’d like to find out more, please call 0113 226 5454. Or for full details and to download an application form, please visit www.horsforthschool.org and click on the vacancies tab or email recruitment@horsforthschool.org.  Please note that we do not accept CVs.

We reserve the right to call particularly strong candidates for interview before the closing date, therefore early applications are encouraged.

Closing date:  8am on Monday 3rd June 2024

Start date:      ASAP

We welcome applications regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or religion. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students and we expect all colleagues to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
