Job overview

Inner London Teachers’ Unqualified, Main or Upper Pay Scale

or HLTA Ealing GLPC Scale 8

Required for September 2024, permanent contract.

We are looking to appoint a teacher to lead and teach French to primary age pupils.

Our specialist French teacher takes classes while their teachers have planning, preparation and assessment time. You will teach every class in the school from Reception to year 6 each week, offer an after-school club and, each year, lead a residential trip to France.

This post could appeal to you if you are:

·        a primary school teacher who wants to focus on teaching your love of French rather than teaching a class and the whole primary curriculum,

·        a secondary school French specialist who is looking to enrich their career by giving pupils the best possible start to learning French,

·        an experienced, unqualified teacher or teaching assistant who is ready to teach classes the National Curriculum for French.

This vacancy is not suitable as a first post for early career teachers.

Our four-form entry school is high performing and vibrant:

  • conscientious pupils who are keen to learn and take part in French lessons, culminating in a residential trip to Burgundy at the end of year 6;
  • support from fellow specialist teachers for PE and Music;
  • own professional development and support from our curriculum teams and Ealing Learning Partnership’s networks.

Fielding Primary School serves the Northfields area of Ealing. Our teachers are superb, children are fantastic, interested in learning and exceptionally well behaved. Facilities and resources are excellent, standards and achievement are high. Visits are encouraged or find out more from our website, http://www.fieldingprimary.com
