Founded in 1971 and opened as a family-oriented British School, it was one of the first of its kind in Madrid. Today, it is based on six sites, in central Madrid and has over 1200 pupils.

Hastings School follows the National Curriculum for England. At Primary we follow a creative, topic curriculum based on stories from all over the world. At Secondary level pupils prepare for IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations. Most pupils go to either British or Spanish universities.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about teaching and is excited to teach in one of the best international schools in an amazing city. Candidates will hold a relevant degree and a UK approved PGCE or international equivalent. The person should be able to teach Geography up to IGCSE. The ability to teach A level and/or IBDP Higher Level would be an advantage.

Hastings School is a co-educational independent British school in Madrid for pupils aged 2 to 18. Part of Cognita, one of the world’s largest families of schools, Hastings School fosters academic and co-curricular excellence alongside a truly international outlook in all of its pupils.
