Job overview

An initial 12 month fixed-term contract commencing September 2024 with the possibility of extension.

40 hours per week, 36 weeks per year (predominantly during term time)

We are looking to appoint a Graduate Musician (Accompanist) who is enthusiastic, motivated, conscientious, and willing to learn, whilst playing a key role within a large and busy music department.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about music and flexible in their approach, whilst looking to inspire and develop the talents of our students.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for a supportive yet challenging work environment. The ideal candidate may well be looking to gain experience within a school environment prior to deciding on their future career path. The post-holder will be given the opportunity to develop their career either as a practical musician or within the classroom depending on their aspirations.

A good honours degree in Music is essential as is being a first-rate piano accompanist with ability to accompany instrumental and vocal performance from beginner to a very high level. 

Knowledge and understanding of independent education is beneficial although not essential.

Please note that accommodation is not provided with this role.
