Reporting To: Assistant Grounds Manager and Grounds Manager

Hours Of Work: 40 hours per week.

Salary: £26,000 per annum.

Sedbergh School, founded in 1525 by Roger Lupton, Provost of Eton, is one of the leading co-educational boarding Schools in the north of England. Casterton, Sedbergh Prep School is set at Casterton, in the spectacular Yorkshire Dales National Park and is home to over 200 boys and girls aged between 4 and 13 years, both boarding and day pupils. 

Casterton Sedbergh Preparatory School is now seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join their Grounds Team as a Grounds and Gardens Person.

The main purpose of the role is:

  • To provide pupils, staff and visitors to the school with sports and amenity facilities commensurate with the school's long standing position as a leading Independent School and major sporting institution.
  • To ensure that all work undertaken is completed with due regard for timescales, cost, quality, productivity, good communications and in line with health and safety requirements.
