We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Head of Religious Education to join a welcoming and forward-thinking faculty. Tupton Hall School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive, judged to be a “Good” school by OFSTED in November 2023 and striving to become outstanding in the very near future.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have a proven track record of high-quality teaching leading to excellent student outcomes.
  • Lead the curriculum development and delivery of KS3 - KS5 RE
  • Engage with school systems and their own CPD to ensure they are able to consistently deliver best practice teaching to support excellent student outcomes and support colleagues deliver high quality lessons.
  • Work with the Head of Faculty (Humanities) to contribute to both faculty and wider school development.
  • Keep accurate records of these assessments and use them to inform future planning and to give students clear guidance on the next steps for improvement.
  • Involve students in reflecting on, evaluating and improving their own performance and progress.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff to ensure that all learning needs are met and support is put in place, where necessary, for those who have differing levels of ability or behavioural and social needs or for whom English is an additional language. 

To be successful in this role you will have QTS in Religious Education.

Tupton Hall School is part of Redhill Academy Trust. The Academy is also a member of Redhill College of Leadership and Development and as such there are excellent CPD opportunities and a chance to work alongside colleagues from other high-performing schools in the region. The Trust also leads the regional Teaching School Hub, delivering local teacher training and the National Professional Qualifications for teachers.
