We are seeking a dynamic individual to be head of school, under the direction of the Executive Headteacher and be responsible for providing leadership and management of St Francis Catholic and Church of England Academy in line with our Vision and manage the day-to-day running of the school.

You would also be lead on the following areas within the school, SIAMs/Catholic validation, Behaviour and Inclusion, Standards and Outcomes, Staffing, School council, Collective Worship, CPD, Transition, LSA Performance Managements and be the DSL.

Within the school and as a whole Academy we need to ensure that we are fully prepared for SIAMs inspections/Catholic Validation visits and Ofsted, along with developing and maintaining a Christian ethos with high expectations of safeguarding and behaviour.

As part of the role, you will need to have previous experience in Leadership and management, developing a professional culture amongst all staff at the school and the ability to support and challenge staff if needed.

St Francis is proud of its current team and we want to continue to work with staff to promote high-quality teaching across all subjects and ensure standards of behaviour are high to foster an environment in which learning can thrive, as well as monitor the outcomes of pupils, supporting key groups of pupils, such as disadvantaged pupils or pupils with special educational needs.

You will work with the local governing board and Executive Headteacher, keeping them informed of the financial and educational performance of the school and continue to build on the vision of the school, along with attending various meetings with other organisations, parents and the local community including the church.

As DSL you will be managing referrals, supporting staff who make referrals and act as a point of contact for our safeguarding partners.

The Executive Headteacher would like all prospective candidates to make and arrange a visit to the school prior to any interview taking place.
