The School
Now in its 6th year of operation, GEMS Cambridge International School, Nairobi, offers the National Curriculum for England through the University of Cambridge Primary and Secondary programmes, including the IGCSE and Advanced Level examinations as well as EdExcel BTEC vocational qualifications. It is a co-educational school for students from pre-Foundation Stage to Year 13.
The school, located in a very pleasant and secure residential area of Karen; a suburb of the thriving city of Nairobi, boasts a spacious, state-of-the-art campus with well-equipped teaching facilities incorporating a 400 seat auditorium, dance studio, science and computer labs, as well as extensive sports facilities, including a specialist running track, full size astro-turf pitch, indoor sports hall, fully equipped gym and an 8 lane heated swimming pool. The Post - Head of Secondary
We are looking to appoint an experienced Head of Secondary with the energy, drive and ambition to raise academic standards, as well as levels of pastoral guidance and care, to exceptional levels. A key area of expertise includes managing and analysing student data to ensure individual and collective progression across the school. To be considered for the post, you should already have senior leadership experience within a vibrant and diverse school and be looking to take on the next challenging stage of your career. The successful candidate will have the charisma, personality and educational philosophy to drive standards across the school, incorporating exceptional communication and leadership skills along with highly developed emotional intelligence.
The post carries an excellent remuneration package, including a highly competitive salary, comprehensive medical insurance and annual flight allowance.
