Longdendale High School is pleased to welcome applications for the position of Inclusion Support Worker to extend our current pastoral team. The successful candidate will be joining a dedicated team, who are passionate about working with students and their families to remove barriers to learning and to provide the highest standards of pastoral care to our students. The role is varied and will focus upon personalised inclusion support for individual students, small groups, and daily operational support for the school’s pastoral and inclusion systems. Work includes ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the Reflect provision (Internal Exclusion) and delivering individual and small group developmental programmes, working with inclusion leaders to resolve student conflict and where appropriate providing additional support within the classroom environment and at lunch and break times. Demonstrating the ability to build and maintain strong positive relationships with students with a wide range of needs is essential to this role. Alongside this, the successful candidate will lead pastoral interventions designed to promote engagement and success for students in school. Previous experience of working within a school environment and supporting students is preferred but not essential.  A willingness to be flexible in your approach and face challenges positively is required.
