Who we need

The Electrical Team are looking for candidates who have industry and teaching experience within the field of Electrical Installation. We have 3 opportunities: two full time, permanent positions (37 hours per week) and a part time, permanent position (18.5 hours per week). Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Teaching across level 1 to level 3 qualification, both practical and theory

- Monitoring attendance and behaviour

- Marking of exams

- Progressing the learner tracker and enrichment experience

- Various upskilling opportunities e.g., assessor awards and short courses

What you’ll bring

You will have the willingness to learn, problem solve and be confident in dealing with challenging situations. Essential skills and experience include:

- Qualified in Electrical Installation to a level 3 NVQ standard

- Hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards

- Passionate and driven to inspire learners to achieve

- Possess excellent communication skills to effectively work across different levels

- Working collaboratively to achieve shared goals within the team and the wider college

New College Nottingham is a mixed, selective, non-denominational general further education college situated in Nottingham. It is a 16 plus with five different sites in the centre of Nottingham. The latest Ofsted report identified 14,029 learners at the school, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was established in 1998 through a merger of smaller educational centres in the Nottingham area. Further merging has happened, most recently early in 2017, when the college merged together with Central College Nottingham.

The college specialises in music and performance as well as excelling in its media and creative courses. It hosts a wide range of facilities to help its learners’ experiences, from a hair and beauty salon and art gallery through to a music venue and theatre.
