Are you an experienced electrical professional with a robust understanding of installations? About the role
Joining our team as a part-time Lecturer, you will use your professional expertise to deliver teaching across a variety of courses catering to 16–19-year-old learners, apprentices, and adult groups.
Your responsibilities will be wide ranging, including planning and preparation, marking (along with other forms of assessment), day-to-day communication with students to offer guidance and support, administration tasks such as admissions, enrolment, and registration, as well as subject updating, personal development, and contributing to teaching and learning innovation and improvement. Your participation in course evaluations will be essential in shaping our educational offerings.
About you
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with substantial industry experience, and an NVQ Level 3 in a relevant vocational qualification. While previous teaching experience and/or a recognised teaching qualification is desirable, we welcome applications from individuals willing to undertake in-service training.

Southport College is a well established independent Further Education college providing a diverse programme of education and training to a variety of learners across the North West.
Working closely with schools across Sefton and West Lancashire, Southport College offers a School Links programme for over 250 14-16 year olds who combine studying vocational courses at Southport College alongside their GCSEs in school. Southport College provides a range of part-time and full-time courses to over 3000 adult learners, many of them supported by their employers on courses delivered in the workplace through our Employer Services team.
