We are seeking Maths Circle Mentors to join our Axiom Maths programme (https://axiommaths.com/) and deliver Maths Circles to KS3 students. The Maths Circles support students from all backgrounds to achieve mathematical excellence, so that they feel more confident as mathematicians and go on to have a greater range of future personal and employment choices.

 

Sessions run weekly during school term time from around 4.00pm to 5.45pm. You will also spend around one hour a week preparing for the session. Approximately one in three sessions are in person at our campus in North Finchley, and the other sessions are online. You will be paid an additional amount to account for travel time for in-person sessions.

 

You will be responsible for providing mentoring for KS3 students using materials provided and actively engage in training and development. You will reflect and report on the progress made by mentees. You will be responsible for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students and maintain the confidentiality of staff and student information.

 

We are looking for someone flexible and with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm. The successful candidates will be able to commit to completing 30 sessions between September 2024 and early July 2025 inclusive, during the ICLMS term dates.
