We are now seeking to make an appointment to our team of support staff who are a key part of our outstanding provision to support young people. The role will provide an opportunity to work closely with a range of young people and their families.

The key purpose of this new role will be to oversee the general welfare, progress, behaviour and overall pastoral needs of pupils.  You will also address other pastoral needs to help pupils to overcome barriers to learning which are preventing them from achieving their full potential.

We welcome applications from people with a wide range of backgrounds, with a variety of skills and as such, the post would equally suit someone with experience of working with young people or a graduate looking for experience in education and potentially a route into teaching. Some experience of working in a school or with children would be an advantage.

If you are enthusiastic, positive, enjoy a challenge and possess excellent communications skills, this vital role could be the ideal opportunity for you.

For an informal discussion please contact Paul Green via jwallace@lynghallschool.co.uk

You should complete the application form and include a statement explaining how your experience to date and aspirations for the future make you the right candidate for this post.

“Lyng Hall is a good school, with a good sixth form. It has improved considerably since the last inspection. Students in the main school attain in line with national averages from very low starting points. Their progress is at least good and sometimes outstanding.”
