We’re the sixth-largest provider of specialist educational services in the country, supporting over 900 children and young people, and employing over 1,000 staff. 

Due to our continuing growth; we’re currently looking for a Placements Manager for our North  region, to work with our schools to coordinate and progress all work relating to the placements process.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Working closely with our Business Development Managers and our Senior Leaders; the placements manager is key to the relationship management and referral functions of our Group.

Your main focus will be working with our services to coordinate and progress all work relating to referrals – including running an efficient referrals process and maximising opportunities for placement conversion across the Group. 

Key to driving referral generation, progression and conversion will be your ability to build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders including internal admissions teams and parents to ensure that Aurora is both seen as, and demonstrating that it is, an excellent service provider

Your role is positioned as the central source of information regarding placements data for all schools, colleges and care homes, using databases to ensure all the latest information is accessible and accurate to inform the wider and Executive Team.

 

Skills and Qualifications

Successful candidates are likely to demonstrate:  

  • Experience or working in a similar role
  • Experience of working in the specialist education/learning and care sector- children’s and/or adults
  • A highly organised approach, strong administrative experience and aptitude for working through processes
  • Excellent communications skills and able to forge and maintain positive relationship skills with stakeholders, especially parents
  • Excellent reporting and analytical skills
  • Ability to support parents through appeal and tribunals in partnership with service staff
  • Ability to coordinate and manage tender and framework referral submissions
  • Access to your own car and able to occasionally travel across the UK with the occasional overnight stay 

Desirable 

  • Experience of Customer Service
  • Knowledge of EHCP and appeal/tribunal processes and SEN code of practice
