Job overview
The Programme Lead for the Film & TV Educators Network will be responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating the national strategy for our network of teachers. The Film & TV Educators Network was incubated at the London Screen Academy, with the aim of connecting teachers across the country. The early stages of the network have been successful and demonstrated a clear demand for taking this further. Our most recent networking event was attended by over 90 educators from across the UK, where delegates confirmed their need for the network, willingness to help, and proposed a range of next steps for the group. In addition, we have a large mailing list of teachers, an active whatsapp group, a resource-sharing website, and we have held other events such as a network launch, school visits, and a diversity webinar. Looking ahead, prospective applicants will understand the needs of film & TV teachers and will be able to shape the direction of the network to meet those needs. There may also be opportunities to contribute to the wider efforts to scale the impact of our parent organisation, the Day One Trust, in education for the screen, games and music industries.

LSA is a new sixth form academy for London students which opened in September 2019. We will teach the skills and background knowledge needed to join the screen industries (which include film and television), to progress to higher education or to enter other professions.
Storytelling is at the heart of everything we do.
LSA is unique and exciting; never before has there been such a partnership between outstanding educators and global screen industry leaders. Our students will be taught by London’s best teachers and people who make their living working in the film and television industries.
