Do you have a passion for working and supporting young people, academically and pastorally? Can you give effective coaching and support to our students? Barnet and Southgate College are looking for a highly motivated, dynamic and inspirational individuals who are passionate about making a difference to young people’s lives. Progress and Achievement Coaches will equip our students to develop essential skills, knowledge and attributes to overcome barriers to learning to reach their full potential. Our diverse student population requires individuals who can encourage and motivate young people to build resilience and develop self-awareness to prepare themselves for further or higher education and employment. Progress and Achievement Coaches will pay a pivotal role in ensuring the success of their students through coaching techniques and promoting positive approach to their behaviour and attitude.

We are looking for highly motivated individuals with experience in supporting and coaching young people with good interpersonal and communication skills to provide outstanding support . You will be empathetic, resilient, and confident.

Minimum qual - i.e. relevant Level 3 or equivalent with grades 5-9 in English and Mathematics. Proven knowledge of the issues facing young people today and the ability to support and encourage them to remain on programme. Good experience of delivering both workshops, small group work and 1:1s across the softer skills and the social, emotional and personal issues.
