Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a new (term time only plus) Receptionist at Dolphin School Trust, on a term time (plus) basis. Based in Battersea (nr. Clapham Junction), Dolphin School is an independent co-educational school for pupils aged 2-11 with a Christian ethos, excellent academic results and outstanding pastoral care, all set within a small and family-minded community. Located on the bustling Northcote Road and Wandsworth Common, we thrive in a village community, surrounded by ample space and amenities.
The School was founded on values such as appreciation for the individual, relationships, moral compass, and respect towards one other. Dolphin School is unashamedly a Christian family school and we work within our joyful community to provide a broad and diverse educational experience to all, underpinned by our ethos.
The role of Receptionist is paramount to the smooth running of the school and nurseries. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for visitors, parents, prospective parents and children alike, with a welcoming and friendly face for those arriving at the school. It is preferential that they have experience and essential to have a passion for working with children in a school or similar environment, where no two days are the same.

Values and vision
Dolphin School believes in understanding each pupil as an individual and wants to learn about the strengths, weaknesses, fears and concerns of each child. It hopes that in doing so, teachers will be able to offer personalised learning to suit each child’s character. It has small classes in order to do this. The school’s motto is: Love Wisdom Truth and the values of joy, nurture, success and relationships are at its heart. Dolphin School believes that mistakes lead to learning and that children shouldn’t be pressured, but rather learn at an incremental, attainable pace. Happiness when learning is at the heart of the school's vision, with the belief that children work best when they are at ease. A range of extra-curricular clubs are organised by the school to help encourage children to develop new skills and interests.
Independent School Inspectorate
“The pupil’s personal development is excellent, reflecting the values expressed in the school’s aims. In the EYFS, children share and co-operate well. As they mature, their behavior towards one another is characterized by courtesy and kindness. They have excellent opportunities for spiritual, moral, social and cultural development.”
