Reports to: Principal Development Lead

Location: West London – we are currently operating an agile working policy with one core day in the office

Contract: Fixed Term (10 months)

Pattern: Full Time (standard hours 9am – 5.30pm)

Closing date: 9am on Friday 24th May 2024

Salary: £39,000 - £43,000 (depending on experience)

 

About the role:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Mathematics Mastery, part of Ark Curriculum Plus, a venture born out of the Ark network. As a forward-thinking, research informed, passionate team we aim to support primary schools in creating mathematicians of the future.

As a School Development Lead (Mathematics Mastery Primary) your role is an integral part of the School Development Team, responsible for supporting Maths Leads across a portfolio of schools on the Mathematics Mastery programme. Your time will be spent supporting schools through effective coaching, carefully planned training, remote development sessions and in-school visits. Travel throughout the UK will be required.


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support schools on a one-to-one basis to implement our programmes successfully to gain the intended immediate and longer-term impact 
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with partner schools
  • Maintain an excellent understanding of the Mathematics Mastery programme to offer high quality training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and support in the programme 
  • Deliver training and CPD where required to an excellent standard in line with internal guidelines 
  • Contribute to the development of the overall programme design by collaborating with the various teams, feeding back insights gathered to inform the design and partnerships teams 


Key Requirements:

  • Understanding of the education landscape and issues affecting education  
  • At least three years’ teaching experience across at least two key stages 
  • A proven record in delivering outstanding achievement in mathematics, particularly for pupils with low prior attainment in challenging urban schools 
  • Confidence in the creation and delivery of high quality CPD
  • Up-to-date knowledge and use of the current curriculum and assessment requirements and best practice in implementation and delivery of professional development  
  • Regular and on-going engagement with training and personal development
