Secondary Deputy Head in Charge of Pastoral Care
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, inspirational and resilient Pastoral lead with a proven track record of achieving high pastoral standards. The candidate must have excellent ability to support students in a wide variety of pastoral issues and with enforcing a positive behavioural management system.
Essential:
- have a degree from a British University (B.Ed, BA Hons with QTS or PGCE);
- be a native level speaker of English;
- have a minimum of 3 years teaching in a Secondary school;
- have experience of teaching ideally the National Curriculum in England/Wales (applicants with experience of teaching the curriculum in Scotland or Northern Ireland are welcome to apply);
- have high expectations of pupils' learning and behaviour;
- demonstrate extensive experience and knowledge of pastoral care;
- have experience of supervising a pastoral team;
- Have a good level of Spanish

Our school
This academic year, the secondary school has grown in size and we now have more than 300 pupils across Years 7-13. In KS3 students follow the British national Curriculum, moving on to study International GCSEs and finally having direct access to universities worldwide as a result of studying 4 A Levels.
The school follows the British Curriculum, with an interest in providing a holistic approach to teaching, alongside teaching the main parts of the Spanish curriculum. The school is a member of NABSS (National Association of British Schools in Spain) and BSO (British Schools Overseas). Contracts are permanent and teachers work from September to June, enjoying a long summer break in July and August. Members of the senior management team work the first 2 weeks of July to organise the following academic year.
