What we are looking for:
Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Emmaus College. These are full-time permanent position to commence as soon as able, or as negotiated with the successful applicant.

About Emmaus College
Emmaus College is a co-educational Roman Catholic secondary school, located in Rockhampton, Queensland, slightly inland from the coastline and 636 kilometres north of Brisbane. Catering to students from Years 7 to 12, the school has an enrollment of approximately 1,311 students supported by 99 teaching staff.
The college is the amalgamation of three schools; a secondary all-girls school Marion College, an all-boys school St Stanislaus' College and the co-educational Emmaus Senior College. The schools completely combined in 1993 and now use the Yamba Road Middle School Campus to educate Years 7, 8 and 9 with the Main Street Senior School Campus for Years 10, 11 and 12.

Facilities
Both campuses have a range of facilities for students. At the Yamba St Campus students have access to a 25-metre swimming pool, modern library with latest technology, four sporting fields plus a covered sports dome, a multipurpose hall and the Mary Mackillop Performing Arts Centre. The Main Street Campus for senior students also has a modern library with dedicated study rooms as well as an undercover sporting and assembly area. The school also has specialist areas for hospitality, visual arts, industrial technology and design.
Curriculum
Emmaus College offers students a board curriculum in order to cater to a wide range of interests, needs and abilities.
Students in Year 7 are taught a set range of subjects as per requirements of the Australian Curriculum. From Year 8, students are able to choose elective subjects such as visual arts, music, drama and dance. The selection of subjects broadens again from Year 9, with students offered subjects such as design and technology, metalworking, woodworking, business education, software applications and more. In the senior years, the college continues to offer a broad range of authority-approved subjects to gain a tertiary entrance rank as well as Vocational Education and Training subjects.

Emmaus College “endeavours in all aspects of curriculum to present students with a consistent and coherent Christian view of life: a view that sees religion and spirituality as an integral part of life”.
