Employment Status: Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available  
Salary: $81,627 - $138,606 (pending experience - includes Highly Accomplished (HAT) and Lead Teacher (LT) salary scale)


What we are looking for:


Applications are invited from qualified and enthusiastic educators to join the teaching staff of Marist College, Emerald across various teaching areas in both Senior and Junior. These are full-time and part-time continuing positions to commence as soon as able, or as negotiated with the successful applicant. 


We are seeking a teacher who can teach any or a combination of the following subjects:



  • English (Middle School)

  • Religious Education (Middle School)

  • Learning Support

  • Junior Science

  • Physical Education (Middle School)

  • SOSE


We also welcome applications from teachers who teach in other subject areas not listed above.

About us


Marist College, Emerald is a catholic co-educational secondary college situated in the Central Highlands, three hours west of Rockhampton. The College draws students from Emerald as well as surrounding rural areas including Gindie, Springsure, the Gemfields, Clermont, Blackwater, Tieri and many rural properties and currently caters for years with an enrolment of 556 students.


Mandatory Requirements 



  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and the ability to obtain approved Queensland College of Teachers Registration
